KUSH GUPTA

Kush Gupta is a writer, director and creative producer with over 16 years of experience across Indian and international film, television, advertising and digital content.

He began his career in the Indian film industry, working with established filmmakers and production houses including Rajkumar Hirani Films, Mahaveer Jain Films and Sanjay Dutt Productions, and has completed three Indian feature films as an Associate Director. He has also worked alongside National Award-winning director Omung Kumar.

Over the years, Kush has expanded from directing into writing, producing and international production. He has written, directed and produced Australian-Bollywood musicals, award-winning short films, music videos and campaigns for brands including Disney, Mercedes-Benz, Oppo and Realme. He also operates a line-production company in Australia.

As a creative producer, Kush recently worked on WHITE, an ambitious English- and Spanish-language international feature filmed in Colombia, where he was involved from script and budgeting through production and worked closely with the director in executing the film's creative vision. The project brought together an international team including Narcos cinematographer Juan Carlos Gill, Jaguar Bite and producers Mahaveer Jain and Siddharth Anand.

Kush is the creator, writer and director of THE ABANDONED, an international survival thriller series built around an original fictional world, and in July 2026 completed principal photography on SCARE BnB, a Screen Australia-backed Gujarati supernatural comedy-drama feature filmed in Melbourne, which he wrote and directed.

His work sits at the intersection of Indian storytelling and international filmmaking, with a focus on creating culturally specific stories that can connect with audiences across borders.
